Personal Care
Everyone values their privacy and dignity. We all want to be able to be clean and look at our best.
Dignified & Respectful Personal Care
At Severn Vale Home Care we understand that everyone values their privacy and dignity. We all want to be able to be clean and look at our best. The challenge, as we age, can be that we start to struggle with daily activities, such as personal hygiene, bathing, dressing and grooming. It is understandable and a natural part of ageing that as we get older, we can find it challenging to look after our personal needs on our own.
However, the problem can sometimes be emotional as much as physical. The idea of being bathed by another person, can be full of emotions, such as feeling uncomfortable or vulnerable. We believe that everyone deserves sensitive and respectful help, when they need it, so that they can feel clean, dressed and well groomed.
We understand that it can be difficult to accept help for personal care from family members and that is why our care professionals can help you. We understand that everyone is different, with different needs and preferences. From reassurance through to helping someone in or out the shower, your care plan is built around you. Our carers are fully trained professionals who are dedicated to looking after your needs.
We want to listen and understand your unique situation.
- Decide to call us and learn more information about how we can help you. We have a small team of people who are friendly and available to talk and listen to you over the phone.
- We will visit you in your own home and conduct a care assessment. Within 24 hours of the visit they will provide you with a care plan for you to consider.
- If you decide to continue with your care plan, a Care Professional will come at the agreed-upon times and days.
