FAQs

Visiting Care offers help and support to people in their homes from trained Care Professionals. We tailor your care to meet your unique needs and preferences. We help clients with:

  • Personal Care: Assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Medication Management: Helping clients take their medications correctly and on time, while also keeping track of their medication schedule.
  • Meal Preparation involves planning and making healthy meals that meet nutritional needs and taste good.
  • Household chores include cleaning, doing laundry, and tidying up to keep the home safe and comfortable.
  • Companionship: Providing social interaction, emotional support, and companionship through conversation, activities, and outings to reduce loneliness and isolation.
  • Transportation: Assisting with transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and other outings as needed.
  • Respite care: allows family caregivers to take a break from their caregiving responsibilities. During this time, someone else steps in to provide care. This gives the family caregiver an opportunity to rest and recharge.
  • Health Monitoring means watching vital signs, health conditions, and any health changes. If necessary, inform healthcare professionals or family members.
  • Specialised Care: Caring for people with specific conditions like dementia, Parkinson's, post-surgery, or end-of-life care.

 

We assist individuals in maintaining their independence and safety in their own homes. This helps improve quality of life and provides the necessary support on an evolving basis. The goal is to help our clients remain in their homes for as long as possible. This can have a positive impact on their overall well-being.

Our Office is based in Worcester and we provide Visiting Care in Worcester, Malvern and surrounding areas.

Our Care Professionals work from 7.00am until 10.00pm seven days a week. Following your Care Assessment together we will agree a frequency of care call that will meet your needs.

We will introduce your primary Care Professional who will provide the majority of your care. We will also introduce you to a small team of Care Professionals who will provide your Care when your primary care is on holiday or is unavailable.

We do our very best to ensure that things run to time. This said traffic, an emergency at the proceeding care call can very occasionally create a delay. On the rare occasions when a delay of over 15 minutes occurs we will call you and keep you fully informed.

Following an initial conversation we can usually accommodate a care assessment in 24 hours. Following this we will discuss the Live-in Carers available and agree a start date. Our handover day is usually a Wednesday but this can be varied according to individual circumstances.
Initially we will be in daily contact with your Live-in Carer and with family members as appropriate. Both the management team and family members can access all care logs completed by the care professional and accessed by the Severn Vale App. We also conduct regular quality reviews and the office team can be contacted 7 days a week.
Sometimes it can take a few days for client and live-in carer to adjust to a change of routine. If you have any concerns whatsoever you should contact a member of the Severn Vale office team and we we help to resolve any issues.
