Live In Care

We understand the importance of home as a place of safety, comfort, and cherished memories. Our trained care professionals offer live-in or 24/7 care, enabling you to stay in your familiar surroundings while addressing your individual needs and preferences. Our comprehensive care ranges from managing household tasks and personal care to preparing home-cooked meals and providing complex, specialised support.

What is Live-In Care

Live-in care provides high quality 24/7 care in your own home.

Live- in care enables you to stay in your own home receiving all the care that you need from a highly trained and carefully matched Care Professional.

Following a detailed discussion with a friendly member of our office team we will arrange a convenient time to visit you and complete an in-depth Care Assessment that will help us understand your needs and individual preferences. This will help us to write and agree your unique and highly personalised Care Plan.

Following this, together, we will carefully select your primary Live-in Carer who will move into your home to provide you with around the clock care, support, and companionship. Typically, your main Live-in Carer will work a rotation of around 3 or 4 weeks before they take a break for a number of weeks. During this time another carefully matched Live in Carer will provide seamless cover.

We try to match our Care Professionals to your interests and lifestyle, however in the rare occasions if a match does not work, we will work with you to understand the reasons and find an alternative Live-in care team.

Your Care professional will provide companionship-led care build around your needs and routines. This can include tasks from cooking, shopping, and household management to attending appointments, personal care through to complex specialist care.

We provide care to individuals and to couples.

Our Head Office is based in Worcester and we provide Live-in Care in most neighbouring counties, specifically: Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire & Oxfordshire.

The simple answer is no. They require a 2 hour daily break minimum and 8 hours undisturbed sleep. There are various options to enable this that will be discussed at the care assessment.

Yes they will if someone is unwell, but this cannot be on a regular basis, as this would be unfair as no one can cope with sleepless nights. In this situation an alternative carer for nights would be suggested at an agreed rate.

They will assist with all personal care needs, washing, dressing, assistance to access toliet facilities, meal preporation, basic housekeeping, administering medication, social trips / appointments and looking after pets.

This can be discussed at the initial care assessment if you may like your carer to sit with you through the day, eat meals together etc, or you may like spending time by yourself or with your friends. In this case the live in carer will retreat to another room or their bedroom.

We try our hardest to match the right Care Professional with your needs, interests and hobbies. We may be able to assist with your pet and this can be discussed at the initial Care Assessment.

Following an initial conversation we can usually accommodate a care assessment in 24 hours. Following this we will discuss the Live-in Carers available and agree a start date. Our handover day is usually a Wednesday but this can be varied according to individual circumstances.
Initially we will be in daily contact with your Live-in Carer and with family members as appropriate. Both the management team and family members can access all care logs completed by the care professional and accessed by the Severn Vale App. We also conduct regular quality reviews and the office team can be contacted 7 days a week.
Sometimes it can take a few days for client and live-in carer to adjust to a change of routine. If you have any concerns whatsoever you should contact a member of the Severn Vale office team and we we help to resolve any issues.
As a minimum you need to provide a bedroom, bedding, a television and internet access. You will also need to provide meals for the Carer, many clients cook and eat together or provide the Carer an allowance for food.
Following the Care Assessment if you would like to go ahead, we will go through and leave a copy of our terms and conditions for you to read. To begin care we need a signed copy of the Ts & Cs. We also need you to transfer by BACs a deposit (equivalent to 2 weeks care) to our holding account. You will also need to complete a Direct Debit form. We will send invoices fortnightly in arrears and these amounts are collected usually a week later by Direct Debit.
